Yon Chung

Yon Chung has recently joined the Capital Area Homes Team and is ready to serve her clients with the knowledge of a seasoned real estate investor, years of experience as a CPA, and as a customer-oriented portrait business owner. Yon graduated from New York University with an accounting and finance degree. Prior to working in Real Estate, she worked as a tax accountant at a Big 4 accounting.

After living 15 years abroad, Yon returned to the McLean area a few years ago with so much appreciation for people of different backgrounds and diverse cultures. During the 15 in Hong Kong and Burma, Yon Chung served as a head portrait photographer with a boutique photography company serving clientele with a very high level of standards and expectations. She is accustomed to catering to her client’s specific needs and providing the very best white glove service to each of her clients.

Yon personally and actively invests in and manages real estate here in the DC metro area, as well as holding property in other areas of the country. Using her years of experience as a CPA and as a real estate investor, Yon is well positioned to help her clients make thoughtful and profitable real estate decisions and rental investment strategies. She is backed with support of her highly experienced team members and mentors from the Capital Area Homes Team.

Yon resides in McLean with her husband and three kids and their Dog “Patches.” She is fluent in Korean as her second language. During her free time, you can find Yon actively involved with her children's schools in McLean/Langley school district, as well as painting, playing tennis, dancing, cheering at soccer games and singing karaoke whenever she can find someone to accompany her.

Bryan helped my wife and I buy and sell two homes in Northern Virginia, including our first-ever home purchase. We highly recommend Bryan as your realtor. He is professional, trustworthy, listens to your needs and offers his expertise when necessary.
    We bought our first home in 2001 during a frenzied market (i.e. 20 contracts on homes within 24 hours of open house). He worked tirelessly and diligently on our behalf. He listened to us talk as we toured homes, which allowed him to continually refine his searches for us. Ultimately, his hard work found us a home we purchased before it hit the market. Upon sale of that house 7 years later (with Bryan again), we sold it for more than double our purchase price.
    Bryan also helped us buy and sell our second home and there are a couple points that exemplify our high recommendation. The purchase negotiations got fairly complex, tense and almost forced the parties to walk away from the deal. Bryan knew we wanted this house, stepped up to work out a deal with the sellers' broker and got us the house (including the installation of a new roof at seller's expense). Six years later, careers moved us across the country and we turned to Bryan to sell our house. We had to list our house in late fall/winter and had a short timetable to sell the house so we could purchase a new home in CA. We moved to CA before our house was sold, entrusting Bryan with our home in Virginia. Bryan smartly set the selling price to garner multiple offers and pushed negotiations that allowed us to purchase a home in CA ahead of schedule.
    Along the way, we became friends with Bryan. We have recommended Bryan to many friends without hesitation and he has helped all of them in their home buying/selling process. He would be a smart choice for anyone - first home buyer to sophisticated buyer.

We can’t say enough good things about Scott! He helped us with the sale of our townhouse and purchase of a new home in McLean! He and his team have been awesome, very responsive, knowledgeable, and easy to deal with throughout both transactions!
    In the past several years we have had three other property transactions and always felt like the real estate agent did not add much value to the transaction. Scott, however, added immeasurable value; I honestly don’t think either transaction could have closed without him. Moreover, his negotiation abilities are unmatched.
